Emergency Medical Techinican - Basic Course Offering

The Goochland County Fire-Rescue Department will be offering a Fall EMT Course starting Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 through February 6, 2019, instructed by Frank Chinn, NREMTP, EMS Education Coordinator, at the Henley Fire-Rescue Training Center. Today we are proud to announce that two of our members have been cleared to provide EMS care at the BLS level. EMT Myasiah Nicholson and FF/EMT Carson Rubin have successfully completed over a hundred hours of training and skills evaluation. Both of them are very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and eager to begin their service to the citizens of Goochland County.

Virginia 4pm Burn Law In Effect until April 30, 2018

Company 3, February 15

The Virginia Department of Forestry's 4pm Burn Law is now in effect.

Briefly, the 4:00 p.m. Burning Law states: from February 15 through April 30 of each year, no burning before 4:00 p.m. is permitted, if the fire is in, or within 300 feet of, woodland, brushland or fields containing dry grass or other flammable material.
