Goochland County Fire-Rescue Officer's Swearing-in Ceremony

On Wednesday January 9, 2019, the Goochland County Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services held their 2nd Annual Officer's Swearing-in Ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Goochland County Cultural Arts Center on Dogtown Road. This has become an annual tradition within our department to formally swear-in the new officers for each of the six Fire-Rescue Companies each year. Fire-Rescue Chief William Mackay was on hand to lead in this new group of leadership for 2019. During the ceremony, Deputy Chief Anthony Gordon introduced each officer with a small bio about them, before welcoming family and friends to "pin" their badge. Each officer then took the Oath of Office from Fire-Rescue Chief William Mackay, accepting their commitment and obligations to the citizens of Goochland County.
