On Wednesday June 27, 2018, the Virginia Blood Services Blood Mobile will make a stop at Centerville Co.3! Please consider coming out to give blood. Our blood drive will be open from 2pm to 7pm at the Company 3 Firehouse.

When’s the last time you stopped to appreciate all the good stuff your blood does for you? Without it, oxygen would never reach your cells and carbon dioxide would be filling your blood vessels as we speak.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood and more than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day. So, while you may never worry about having enough blood to function, plenty of others aren’t as fortunate. Share Your Health and help in treating patients suffering from cancer, bleeding disorders, chronic anemia associated with cancer, sickle cell anemia, and other hereditary blood abnormalities.

Human blood cannot be manufactured, people are the only source of it and that is why it is important to donate blood and help those who need it.

Not only will all participating donors receive a VBS branded water bottle, while supplies last, but all participating donors will also develop that altruistic feeling that comes from donating blood every two to three months.

Rules to be able to give:

Promotion runs 6/1/18 – 6/30/18. Limit one water bottle per participating donor per promotional time period. Promotion good at all participating Virginia Blood Services donor centers and mobile drives. Giveaways and prizes are nontransferable, nonrefundable and not redeemable for cash. While supplies last. Must be at least 18 years of age (16 or 17 years of age with signed parental consent) for actual donation. Virginia Blood Services employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. Please bring ID with you on the day of the blood drive. Proper ID is required to donate blood. A Virginia Blood Services or military ID, driver’s license, passport or employee or student ID with picture and full name are all approved forms of ID. Birth certificate along with a picture ID that includes the donor’s full name will also be accepted.
